Freshen Up Your Site's UI with Custom Embedded Fonts

I just completed a custom cart interface for a client that uses customized fonts. I guess I'm a bit slow here but I suddenly found out how easy it is to embed custom fonts into a web site!

There's a good article on the current state of embedding fonts over at A List Apart.

Better yet, in this article there are some great resources for finding free to use, open source fonts for your site, and even online tools to package the style sheets.

  • Find your free to use Fonts at http://kernest.com/
  • If you have some custom fonts, legal for web use, FontSquirrel has a really nice utility to convert your fonts into the various formats they need for the multiple-personality browsers and devices we use to scan the web!
