This is an updated this custom Dreamhost PHP Install it to include the latest stuff, including PHP 5.3.2. I use a variation of this for all my Drupal installs because Drupal requires a few more MB of PHP memory (I like 128MB) that Dreamhost gives your PHP, by default.
